The Gold Coast’s Best Glamping Spots To Kick Back Under The Stars

By

The Hideaway Glamping Cabarita Beach

The idea of popping up a tent and foraging for firewood to cook your own dinner in nature sounds great in theory. But truth is, camping's one tough gig. There's the sweltering 40-degree heat, hyperventilating into your air mattress, and waking up swollen after being a mosquito's feat. Because of this, I've often opted for glamping on the Gold Coast/Kombumerri Country.

So what makes a glamping site one of the best in my books? The place has got to deliver on comfort. And I'm not talking just 'it's a tent with some fairy lights'. We need the kind of extra touches that make forfeiting permanent walls worth the swap.

Our Urban List team and I have unzipped, explored and snoozed at some of the best glamour-meet-camping places to add to your next escape. Scroll on for 10 of the best glamping spots on and around the Gold Coast in 2025.

The Best Gold Coast Glamping At A Glance:

Gold Coast Glamping For Couples

RESET

Tallebudgera Valley | Sleeps 2

One of my favourite things about regular camping is being fortunate enough to explore untouched landscapes. At the relatively unknown RESET, you'll experience the joys of accessing a private property's tranquil property while enjoying the finer creature comforts. This glamping site is giving full igloo vibes and is set creekside. I reckon there's something extra special about being lulled to sleep by the sound of tricking freshwater.

Panoramic views of the forest from within your glamping tent paired with a stone and gold-embellished bathroom are standout features for me. With its fire pit and substantial kitchen facilities, this is an absolute front-runner for my favourite Gold Coast glamping spot of all time. Book here.

The Lower Beachmont Yurt

Lower Beachmont | Sleeps 2

Glamping is already a pretty unique experience. And then this mind-blowing yurt goes and takes your camp out several steps further. Highly rated and seriously decked out, in my opinion, this is the Gold Coast's best glamping experience for a one-of-a-kind stay.

The Mongolian-style architecture means you'll sleep in a totally circular dome beneath an aqua-adorned sky-light. Outdoors, it's all about peaceful birdsong and views of the Gold Coast cityscape. I recommend you check out the bee hives and chickens in the surrounding paddock during your stay because you're all technically glamping, but it's clear that your place takes the cake. Don't rub it in their faces too much. Book here.

Cloud Safari

Lower Beachmont | Sleeps 2

Enveloped by quaint gardens, wander up your privcate entryway bridge to the blissful escape that is Cloud Safari. Bonus points are due for being a 5-minute drive away from the TikTok sensation that is the Gold Coast hinterland's heart-shaped waterfall, Killarney Glen.

Despite being a short 30 minutes from the Gold Coast's hustle bustle, this secret escape offers 180 degree views of Springbrook Mountain and the Numinbah Valley. My highlight? The free-standing bath and projector movie combo. Book here.

Glamping For Families

Sanctuary by Sirromet

Mt Cotton | Sleeps 2-4

A glamping ground is a revered feather in Sirromet Winery’s plumage, consisting of 18 safari-style tents pitched on the hillside and kitted out with mod-cons. Because you haven’t had it all until you’ve gone bush and brought the modern world with you, like wifi and hairdryers.

The tents are pitched amongst paperbark trees and scribble gums, putting glampers right in the thick of nature and the company of local wildlife. Each tent boasts king-sized beds, air conditioning, and en suite bathrooms as well as a balcony with sunset views. Access to all three of Sirromet’s on-site dining venues during your stay. The tented family pavilion sleeps four and is perfect for families with kids over 10 years old. This glamping destination is also set by a natural laguna and bushwalking track for ultimate adventuring. Book here.

Rivershore Retreat

Diddillibah | Sleeps 2-6

rivershore glamping

Lock in a trip to Rivershore Retreat and you'll be livin' it up on the banks of the Maroochydore River. This glamping locale north of the Gold Coast features two tent options and two airstream caravan sites to choose from.

The King Safari Tent's safari-fitout features a king-size bed, kitchenette, bathroom, and TV for all the Netflix and chill you can handle (when you need a break from nature, that is). There's even the option to add two single camp beds for kiddos up to 10 years old. Throw a few snags on the barbeque of the outdoor deck that's sizeably on par with the tent, and make memories minus sandy feet in your bed.

For all your onsite fun times, there's the option to take a dip in the water park, swing your way through the mini golf circuit or kick back to live music. Hands down, of the most family-friendly glamping spots a short drive from the Gold Coast. Book here.

Heading to Straddie is always a treat. And the 500+ beachfront campsites peppered across multiple iconic beaches in Minjerribah are seriously epic.

Tambourine Mountain Glades

Tambourine Mountain | Sleeps 2-5

Cedar Creek Lodges recently underwent a rebrand to Tambourine Mountain Glades and I'm all about it. Founders Bob and Judi Minnikin have 25+ years in the game of accommodation, so their woodlands glamping experience really do raise the bar. Choose from four glamping options in the Gold Coast hinterland.

Opt for the Woodlands Luxe Tent for stunning views of Cedar Creek. Or, splash out on the Family version where you'll have private access to a dreamy plunge pool and sun-drenched deck fit with the ultimate arvo barbie fit out. I rate it. Book here.

Luxe Glamping

Nightfall Wilderness Camp

Lamington National Park | Sleeps 2

If you're looking for a seriously luxe glamping experience on the Gold Coast, Nightfall Wilderness Camp has nailed your vision. With the perfect combination of secluded wilderness and generous luxuries, your stay can even include alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for the duration of your visit.

In summer, roll up canvas walls in summer and relish in the surrounding rainforests, completely bug-free with your tent's clever mesh exterior. While in winter you can keep it intimately closed, spend your eves relaxing in the free-standing bath or curl up around the roaring fireplace.

Hand-carved stone basins, smooth wire-brushed timber floors, and lush organic bedding make this once of the bougiest Gold Coast glamping locales. Take your experience to the next level when you opt for complete organic catering. This affords you more time to enjoy the private natural spa-pools, lazy hammocks, explorations into the tangled forest, or—wait for it—an outdoor massage by the creek. Pure bliss. Two night minimum stays and lazy late checkouts make this one my top pick for a splurge. Book here.
