Anyone who's wrapped their mouth around one of Yalla Bala's iconic shawarmas will tell you these iconic Middle Eastern eats are next-level good. Now, after selling out at pop-ups across Perth and sneaking their products into boutique grocery stores around town, we're finally getting a permanent spot from Benjamin Kotkis and the crew—and yes, we should all be very excited.
Due to open down Electric Lane in Leederville on Wednesday 25 October, Yalla Bala's first brick-and-mortar outpost promises a small but mighty menu featuring chicken shawarmas (IYKYK) and falafels wrapped up in the fluffiest pita bread you've ever tried. Plus, bowls piled high with super fresh ingredients and homemade everything, including Yalla Bala's famous hummus and pickles courtesy of Perth's pickling queen, European Foodie.
For now, Yalla Bala will have your lunchtime fix covered Wednesday through Sunday, but takeaway dinners are on the cards in the near future so stay tuned.
